HyDra Management Records is about the essence of Rap/Hip Hop.
It is old school in its approach and was founded the Old School Way.
HyDra Management Records was founded by Big Roy after having spent
8 years on the grind as an artist manager, show case promoter, producer,
engineer, etc. Many CD's were released independently under HyDra and
its former company name Onyx Management.

"In January of 2008, HyDra became a separate independent entity armed
only with its initial group "Tha Council". HyDra's first release was
Tha Council's "Death Before Dishonor" which immediately created a huge
buzz in the industry. "DBD" eventually ended up in the hands of Fred Munao
of Select Records. Fred is a 30 year Veteran of Hip Hop and has signed and
released Platinum and Gold acclaim artists such as: Kid n Play, Naughty By Nature,
The Beastie Boys, Roxanne Chante, Chubb Rock, MOP, and more.
Select has received multiple Platinum and Gold records for their work with these artists.
In October of 2008, after meeting with Big Roy and reviewing the DBD CD,
Fred offered Big Roy a Record label of his own with Complete A&R and Creative Control.
Thus the birth of HyDra Management Records.

HMR is a partnership with Select Records and will be distributed by Select in 44 countries
world wide making HMR a major player in the Music industry. HyDra was built the old school way .
Grinding in the studio, at show cases, hitting the streets passing out flyers, demo cd's and knocking
on the doors of the industry A&R's. HyDra is committed to finding the best of the street level
independent artists and giving them and opportunity to make it in the music industry.
